Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks

Often described as Niagara’s Hidden Gem, Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks is a collection of instantly recognizable, true-to-life wax figures crafted by recognized wax artists from around the world. The stunning English Tudor style building houses over 100 true-to-life wax figures in 16 spectacularly themed galleries.

Capture yourself with your favorite celebrities with hundreds of photo-op opportunities with famous and infamous from celebrities to movie stars, politicians to religious figures, heroes, villains and the most prominent musicians of our time! Sit on Oprah’s couch, Jump into bed with Yoko and John Lennon, measure up to Arnold Schwarzenenegger, walk along with Sarah Jessica Parker, schmooze with this century’s most recognized politicians including Hilary and Bill, or settle in for a quick picture along with marvelous entertainment characters. * During March and April, the Falls Illumination will end at midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Illumination of the Falls has been Financed and Operated by The Niagara Falls Illumination Board since 1925.

Journey Behind the Falls

Journey Behind the Falls is a very special place during the winter months. The mist of the Falls freezes in spectacular ice formations on every tree and building. Viewing the Falls in winter should not be missed!

At Journey Behind the Falls, you'll experience the awesome spectacle of one-fifth of the world’s fresh water crashing down to the basin below. During summer daylight hours, over 2,800 cubic meters of water thunders over the brink every second, travelling 65 kilometers per hour!

Your Journey Behind the Falls visit will take 30 to 45 minutes. In the spring and summer months, you'll receive a free souvenir biodegradable rain poncho as protection from the mist of the Falls. Elevators descend 150 feet through bedrock to tunnels that lead and to the Cataract Portal and the Great Falls Portal which is one third of the way behind the massive sheet of water.  Then you walk on to the Upper and Lower Observation Decks at the very foot of the Falls.
